Position Description:

We are looking for an Entry-Level Engineer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Pittsburgh or Columbus offices. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Design various natural gas projects
  • Prepare design and construction plans using local and state standards
  • Coordinate preparation of permit submittals
  • Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
  • Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
  • Monitor task budget and progress
  • Document design changes and communications
  • Administrative tasks
  • Conduct on-site inspections as needed
  • Assist in survey tasks
  • Develop field inventory of gas facilities
  • Prepare project status and other reports
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals
  • Assist Project Managers
  • Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including: client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
  • Attend seminars and/or training classes
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Civil Engineering required
Skills/Experience:
  • 0 - 3 years of related experience required
  • Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred
