The Miami, FL office of Modjeski and Masters is seeking Entry Level Structural Engineers with experience and/or interest in Bridge Design and Analysis
What We're Looking For
  • A minimum of a BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
    • Courses related to Structures is preferred
What You'll Do
  • Review and check standard structural design calculations.
  • Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
  • Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
  • Provide information for design reports.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction serviceassignments.
  • Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
  • Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
  • Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
  • Review and check drawings.
  • Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.
  • Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
