We have an exciting opportunity available for an entry level Bridge Engineer on our growing Bridge team in our Corporate Headquarters office in downtown Milwaukee. This position offers rewarding project challenges and an opportunity to become part of a well-established technical group.
As a Bridge Engineer at GRAEF, enjoy responsibilities like:
  • Designing and preparing plans and specifications for transportation structures, including highway bridges, retaining walls and box culverts under the supervision of the lead structural engineer, per DOT requirements.
  • Assemble design documentation, reports, and quantity calculations for checking, and participate in checking the work of others.
  • Preform structural inspection of bridges and highway structures.
  • Perform work as part of a team, in accordance with project budget and schedule under moderate supervision.

We are considering candidates who meet the following minimum qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis in course work.
  • A Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a minimum of 1 year of relatable bridge experience.
  • Internship experience in structural bridge design/inspection, or transportation is preferred. Additional experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of WisDOT or IDOT standards considered a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Leap Bridge Concrete, MDX and Leap Bridge Steel preferred.
  • Ability to develop details, drawings and plan sheets in Civil 3D is a plus.
  • EIT Certification preferred.
