About The Role
The Process Controls Specialist provides daily technical support for the process control systems at the site to ensure all components of these systems are maintained to meet the needs of the operating units and overall business relating to safety, cost, rate, reliability, and quality. This is a salaried exempt, day shift position. It is classified as a Safety Critical role.
Responsibilities include:
  • Adhere to INEOS Pigments' 20 principles of process and Behavioural Safety and Life Saving Rules
  • Provide primary support for the development and monitoring of the AMS (Asset Manager) system to enhance predictive maintenance capabilities of the control system.
  • Routinely monitor plant operation and communication between the control systems and the business network.
  • Provide first line support to production for process control tuning and performance issues.
  • Continually develop skills and knowledge to champion new technologies to improve the profitability of the business.
  • Ability to successfully interface with multiple levels of the organization
  • Provide support to operation and maintenance of the control systems including DCS, PLC, and HMI with routine troubleshooting, diagnostics, optimization, configuration, design, and commissioning.
  • Provide support to I&E groups for troubleshooting and assist I&E in the performance of safety interlock system maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned

About You
You should possess:
  • High school diploma
  • Engineering Technology degree a plus.
  • Experience with control system support in a PSM environment preferred.
  • Formal training or past experience in I&E, controls, or computer software highly desirable.
  • TiO2 Experience a plus
  • Knowledge and experience gained in the chemical industry is desired
  • Working knowledge of 475 Field Communicator, AMS Trex communicator knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of IEC61131-3 compliant control system configuration packages, DeltaV experience highly desirable
  • Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley PLC's and Factory Talk automation products (PLC-5/CompactLogix/ControlLogix)
  • Safety Instrumented Systems and application to PSM covered processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

This is a salaried exempt, day shift position.
