Job description

Job Title: Specialty CAD Technician Department: Cutting FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary Symbiotic Services is seeking a detail-oriented Specialty CAD Technician to join a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate CAD drawings, developing markers and patterns, and optimizing fabric utilization while supporting production quality and efficiency. Primary Responsibilities Create precise technical drawings using CAD software.

Interpret sketches, diagrams, and verbal instructions to produce accurate CAD drawings. Develop and maintain high-quality markers and pattern layouts. Verify the accuracy of geometric shapes and part details within the CAD system.

Lay out patterns and markers using company standards to maximize fabric utilization. Print full-size patterns using an Okidata printer. Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the drafting process.

Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience using CAD software is required, including Formaris and Diamino. Experience with LECTRA software is a plus.

Hand cutting experience is a plus. Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Ability to measure and identify fabric repeats. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements Ability to work full-time. Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
