Join our Marketing Team as a Litigation Practice Coordinator located in our Chicago, New Jersey, or New York office.

This role will be based in our Chicago, New Jersey, or New York office. This role reports to the Senior Practice Development Manager.
Position Summary
The Litigation Practice Coordinator will work directly with the Senior Practice Development Manager of the global litigation team and other litigation marketing team members to support business development projects, reporting and experience tracking, while working as an integral part of the global marketing and business development team. This role will assist with recurring reporting, internal tracking, research, and other business development projects that support the firm's litigation practices. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with multiple information sources, synthesizing research into a clear work product, and supporting recurring projects that require accuracy and sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supports litigation-related business development tracking, reporting, and analysis to help identify relevant market, client, industry, and practice developments
  • Conducts company, industry, and relationship research to support business development initiatives and attorney outreach
  • Assists with preparing, formatting, proofreading, and quality-checking recurring reports, internal updates, and other business development materials for litigation practices
  • Maintains organized internal tracking documents and supports process improvements to increase consistency, efficiency, and accuracy across recurring projects
  • Creates and maintains records of the firm's litigation experience utilizing the firm's proposal database
  • Ensures the flow of information from attorneys to the litigation marketing team, including as it relates to attorney biographies, practice area description updates, experience tracking, news and activities data, press releases, etc.
  • Works with firm's research team to gather and analyze information on targets, industries, opposing counsel, judges and litigation trends to support business development efforts
  • Collaborates with marketing and other business professionals throughout the firm across functions and teams
  • Supports the use, testing, and refinement of technology-enabled reporting tools, including AI-assisted research and monitoring platforms, while ensuring appropriate review, verification, and data-quality controls

Qualifications
Skills & Competencies

  • Strong research judgment and ability to synthesize information accurately and efficiently

Education & Prior Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Two to four years of relevant experience in marketing or business development
  • Experience at a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred

Technology
  • High proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), including core capabilities, limitations, and importance of data privacy, accuracy, verification, and ethical considerations within a professional services environment
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools) and incorporate them responsibly into day-to-day workflows to enhance daily work tasks as appropriate and/or directed
  • Proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging AI and related technologies and contributes to a culture of innovation

The expected pay range for this position is:
$41.8 - $45.54 per hour
Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
