Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
  • This role assists sales representatives by providing technical support to help sell company products. Serves as a conduit between the field and the other applicable internal departments. This support includes providing technical information on company products and the application of these products, assistance with custom product features and pricing, ancillary product selection and pricing, and quotation of 3rd party equipment related to company products. Mentor and train entry level engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in developing clear, concise, and technically sound tailored solutions for customer review and acceptance based on customer requirements and/or request for proposals (RFPs), ensuring proper scope and required technical specifications are met.
  • Applies a quote configurator tool to provide comprehensive quote support.
  • Review of custom equipment orders and provides technical instruction throughout the order workflow.
  • Provides applications sales support including formal presentations to sales representatives and end users during factory visits and customer events, as requested.
  • May assist with post sale technical support.
  • Providing product support to Offering Managers.
  • Participate in new product development projects.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-4 years of relevant industrial experience including 1-3 years of technical scope review.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required; degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Proficient and fluent in English including technical terminology.
  • Understanding of commercial infrastructure design objectives, performance factors, and physical requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and one-line diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Standard office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
  • 5-10%.
