Contract Duration: More than 12 Months
W2 candidates only
USC, GC or GC-EAD are preferred for this role
Overview
We are seeking a BI Developer with strong QuickBase expertise to assist with ongoing reporting needs while also contributing to a multi-year migration from QuickBase and other legacy platforms to Microsoft Power BI and the broader Power Platform.
This role is essential during the transition period (1-2+ years) in which certain reports must remain in QuickBase while others are rebuilt in Power BI. You'll join a BI team expanding from 5 to 7 developers and contribute to building a future Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE).
Key Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and optimize QuickBase reports during the transition period.
  • Rebuild and migrate legacy QuickBase reports into Power BI.
  • Develop advanced Power BI dashboards using DAX, M-Code, and PowerQuery.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from Teradata, Databricks, and other enterprise sources.
  • Perform light data modeling as needed and enhance existing data models.
  • Collaborate closely with business users to translate Business Use Cases into reporting solutions.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Track progress, update tickets, and collaborate using JIRA.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Advanced QuickBase reporting experience (required).
  • Advanced Power BI experience, including DAX, M-Code, and PowerQuery.
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
  • Ability to interpret Business Use Cases and independently deliver reporting solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate with general direction.
  • Flexibility to adapt to daily priority changes.
  • Desire to learn new tools and grow Power Platform capabilities.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
  • Exposure to enterprise BI ecosystems or modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data lakes, especially Databricks, or data warehouse platforms like Teradata.
  • Participation in or contributions to a BI or Power Platform Center of Excellence.

What You'll Gain
  • Hands-on experience modernizing legacy reporting systems.
  • Opportunity to strengthen Power BI and SQL skills.
  • A key role in shaping the organization's reporting future-state architecture.
