Desert Services International (DSI) is a fast-growing general and telecommunications contractor headquartered in Goodyear, Arizona. We specialize in building and maintaining critical infrastructure for major carriers and private networks across the state. Our work is complex, essential, and built on a foundation of safety, teamwork, and professionalism. 

Position Overview 

The Cellular Technician entry-level position is ideal for individuals interested in developing a career in cellular construction, tower work, and infrastructure installation. You’ll assist experienced technicians and foremen in the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of cellular systems throughout Arizona. 

No previous telecom experience is required — just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of cellular towers, antennas, and supporting infrastructure. 
  • Perform basic civil and electrical construction tasks under supervision (trenching, conduit installation, grounding, etc.). 
  • Support senior technicians in performing equipment testing, assembly, and documentation. 
  • Operate hand tools and light equipment safely and responsibly. 
  • Participate in daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and follow all company safety protocols. 
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of tools, vehicles, and job sites. 
  • Exhibit professionalism and teamwork while working outdoors in various conditions. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Current and valid Class D Driver’s License 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs., standing, kneeling, climbing, and working outdoors. 
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. 

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) 

  • Prior experience in construction, utilities, electrical, or related fields. 
  • Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
