Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, attentive, and dependable Part-Time Entry-Level Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team at our behavioral health residential facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a supportive, safe, and structured healing environment for our residents.You will assist with daily resident supervision, facilitate routine house activities, support crisis de-escalation, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. This entry-level position offers paid on-the-job training and is ideal for individuals looking to build a rewarding career in mental health and recovery services.


Key Responsibilities:


Resident Supervision & Care: Provide active supervision, role modeling, and continuous support to residents throughout daily routines.

Milieu & Routine Support: Maintain house expectations, schedules, meal routines, and recreational activities to foster a structured, therapeutic environment.

Documentation: Accurately log client progress, behavioral observations, shift notes, and safety checks in compliance with state regulations and facility guidelines.

Medication Support: Assist with and document resident self-administration of medications according to facility protocols.

Crisis Prevention: Utilize de-escalation skills and crisis intervention techniques to manage dynamic or stressful situations calmly and professionally.

Facility Maintenance & Safety: Ensure common areas and resident living quarters are clean, organized, safe, and secure.


Qualifications & Requirements:


Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required).

Experience: Entry-level position, qualified BHT

Fingerprint Clearance Card: Must possess or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZ DPS).

Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willing to obtain upon hire).

Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.

Driver's License: Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record preferred.

Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, basic computer literacy for electronic documentation, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
