Manufacturing Mechanical Equipment Technician work focuses on devising, fabricating, installing, calibrating, testing, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems involving the movement of physical components including Assisting mechanical engineers with developing technical solutions related to the operation and performance of mechanical devices and systems. Installing, calibrating, repairing, and upgrading components of mechanical manufacturing devices and systems. Devising, fabricating, and assembling new or modified mechanical components for manufacturing machinery and equipment. Conducting quality assurance/control tests and procedures An worker is an entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience. Work is routine or follows standard procedures. Work is closely supervised. Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation.
Shift Availability: Immediate openings are available on 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM). Candidates should be flexible and available to work their assigned shift, including overtime as needed.
Hiring Requirements
The CS SU BU Manufacturing Mechanical Equipment Technician -Non Exempt within Astemo Suspension business unit serves to support the many functions of the Manufacturing area.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
2 years related education, experience and/or training in a similar position.
Candidates with multi-crafted electro-mechanical, automotive, farm equipment, industrial maintenance, or related mechanical experience are encouraged to apply.
Background/Skills
o Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
o Work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations, define issues, collect/establish facts, and draw conclusions.
o Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
o Interpret an extensive variety of machine/part drawings.
o Can identify and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
o Apply best practices for repair of mechanical components/systems.
o Can troubleshoot and repair electrical components.
o Manipulate and troubleshoot PLC and robot programs

o Preferred: 5P Training, PLC Basic, PLC Intermediate, Kepnor Tregoe PSDM (Problem Solving Decision Making)
