What You'll Do

As a Surgical Technologist, you'll support a wide range of specialties including General, ENT, Neuro, Ortho, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, and GU. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing ORs and surgical instruments
  • Assisting with gowning, gloving, and sterile technique
  • Passing instruments and assisting during procedures
  • Handling specimens and applying dressings
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and aseptic environment
  • Supporting patient prep, positioning, and transport

Education & Training:

  • Completion of a formal Surgical Technology program (college, vocational school, university, hospital, or military).
  • or prior employment as a Surgical Technologist before December 28, 2020.
  • or completion of an accredited military training program.
  • or current certification from a nationally recognized credentialing organization.

Experience:

  • 0-2 years of experience required for entry-level Surgical Technologist.
  • Recent graduates from accredited programs are encouraged to apply!
  • Additional experience may qualify candidates for Intermediate or Senior-level roles.

Specialty Exposure:

  • Preferred experience in surgical specialties such as: General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Plastics & Reconstructive, OB/GYN, Thoracic, Ophthalmic, Neurosurgery, Organ Procurement, and Endoscopic settings.
  • Medication access limited to distribution to the nurse.

Continuing Education:

  • Certified individuals must meet credentialing body requirements.
  • Non-certified individuals must complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years.

Licensure & Clearances:

  • CPR (AHA standards within 30 days of hire), Act 33 Child Clearance, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, Act 73 FBI Clearance, Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
