Wieland Provides is hiring for Weekend Welders Level I, II, III. We are seeking skilled and experienced Welders for positions ranging from entry-level to expert. The welders will be responsible for working from shop drawing, procedures or other written, verbal, or electronic instruction, perform a wide variety of operations associated with welded assembly of final product, sub-assemblies and components for products which includes adherence to ASME Code Safety Regulations. Maintain equipment and facilities in a safe, clean, and efficiently operational manner. Adhere to procedures and prepare and maintain records, in either written or electronic form, regarding safety, quality, productivity, preventive maintenance and housekeeping. Our facility is located at 45 Sutton Road | Verona, VA | 24482.
Starting Pay: $24.00 per hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
Weekend Shift Differential: $3.00 per hour
Weekend Shift Schedule: Friday-Sunday | 6:00am-6:00pm
*Training Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Thursday
Responsibilities
Welder Responsibilities:
  • Following the production orders, prepare parts and tack and weld components into assemblies.
  • Execute welds in accordance to company`s procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
  • Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.

Welder Level I Qualifications:
  • 1-3-year experience or commensurate education from trade school.
  • Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure.
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Proactive in proposing solutions.
  • Perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, bending and reaching.
  • Perform work in heavy industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, work from an elevated platform and working in cramped quarters, e.g., inside vessels.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) required for this position, including hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, welding helmet, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket, welding apron/chaps.
  • MIG/TIG @ 6G preferred - minimum of 1 year of pipe welding experience

Welder Level II Qualifications:
  • At least 3-5-year experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
  • Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard - certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure.
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components.

Welder Level III Qualifications:
  • At least 5+ years' experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels (certified experience).
  • Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standard.
  • Ability to train other welders
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings, and teach others to do so.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fitting and welding components.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork

Physical Demands:
Perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, bending and reaching.
Perform work in heavy industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, work from an elevated platform and working in cramped quarters, e.g., inside vessels.
