Grande Oaks Golf Club, located in Davie, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Golf Course Maintenance - Assistant in Training! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
About the Role
The Golf Course Maintenance Assistant in Training supports the golf course maintenance team in the daily upkeep and presentation of the golf course and club grounds. This entry-level position is designed for individuals interested in learning the fundamentals of golf course operations, turfgrass management, landscape maintenance, and equipment operation while working in a team-oriented outdoor environment.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist with mowing greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and surrounding turf areas
  • Perform bunker maintenance including raking, edging, and debris removal
  • Operate hand tools and basic maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist with irrigation checks, watering, and minor repairs
  • Help with landscape maintenance including trimming, planting, mulching, and weed control
  • Remove debris, leaves, and trash from the golf course and club grounds
  • Set up and break down golf course accessories including tee markers, ropes, and signage
  • Assist with fertilizer and chemical applications under supervision
  • Follow all golf course safety procedures and operational standards
  • Support special projects and tournament preparations as assigned
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times

Qualifications
  • High school student, recent graduate, or individual interested in golf course maintenance
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness to learn golf course maintenance practices and equipment operation
