Job Summary: Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard engineering practices and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard
engineering practices and procedures.
  • Seeks code references and design direction from mentors.
  • Performs individual aspects of electrical engineering as it relates to individually

assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
  • Power distribution both primary distribution and secondary distribution
  • Power generation including standby systems
  • Lighting design and control, including both interior and exterior lighting
  • Power conditioning and uninterruptible power supplies
  • Telecommunications
  • Security and surveillance
  • Fire alarm
  • Nurse call
  • Lightning protection
  • Performs self QC on work and plans for/seeks appropriate peer review of work.
  • Meets with Clients regarding electrical engineering design and projects.
  • Performs field work to document existing conditions.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or an Architectural Engineering Degree
  • Certifications/Registrations: Passing Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
  • Other Skills / Abilities:
  • Ability to work in Revit/Microsoft Office/Visual Lighting Software
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service capabilities.
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to drive to project sites and perform customary field work.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Able to work in the United States.
  • Responsible for understanding and embodying DWG's Culture Statement.
  • Process correspondence efficiently, accurately and confidentially.
  • Work independently and in a team environment
