Job description

Job Details:  Cleaner (see attached job description)
Workdays:  Monday - Friday; 8 work hours per day; 260 work days per school year; 2nd shift (hours vary per location)
Rate-of-Pay for 25/26SY (for full-time positions):  Entry-Level = $___ per hour  (Mid-Level after 2 years = $___ per hour;  High-Level after 7 years = $___ per hour) -- 





pending approval of Negotiated Agreement effective for 8/1/2025
Other Benefits Include:

  • uniform allowance - $200 per school year
  • attendance and performance incentives available
  • overtime pay - paid at time and one-half for hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day or fourty (40) hours per work week (or for work on a designated school holiday)

  • paid holidays - thirteen (13) per school year

  • life insurance - a term life insurance policy for $30,000 (district covers cost) 
  • supplemental and/or dependent life insurance - eligible to elect additional, supplemental life insurance or dependent life insurance (cost varies per coverage-level elected)
  • enrollment into the School Employees Retirement System (SERS)

Qualifications/Requirements (in addition to the qualifications/requirements listed in the job description):
  • all school employees must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check (prior to employment; cost of $47.25)
  • all school employees must be able to successfully pass a drug test (prior to employment; district covers cost)
  • all cleaners must successfully pass an physical-capacity examination (prior to employment; district covers cost)

Union:  the positions are covered under the Ohio Association of Public School Employees Chapter 377 (OAPSE 377) union contract
