Job description

We are seeking a bilingual and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Operation for our 2nd & 1st Operations responsible for the operation of machinery and tools that cut, bend, and shape sheet metal into specific forms and structures. This role often involves reading blueprints, measuring materials accurately, and ensuring that finished products meet precise specifications. Sheet Metal Operators must have a solid understanding of various metalworking techniques and possess the physical stamina to work in potentially challenging environments. Their work is integral to the production of components used in a variety of industries, making the role both versatile and impactful.

Duties

·         Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment such as brakes, shears, brake presses, drill presses, and lasers.

·         Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.

·         Measure and mark materials for cutting, bending, and assembly.

·         Cut sheet metal to required dimensions using saws and shears.

·         Bend, shape, and assemble components using hand tools and power tools.

·         Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality assurance.

·         Maintain and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance.

·         Prepare and clean work areas for production.

·         Collaborate with team members to streamline production processes.

·         Document production information and maintain inventory records.

 

Experience

·         Experience with CNC machines and programming.

·         Familiarity with welding and soldering techniques.

·         Certification in metalworking from a recognized institution.

·         Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in manufacturing.

·         Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·         Ability to work well in a team environment.

·         Basic computer skills for record-keeping and operation.

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         Proven experience as a sheet metal operator or in a similar role.

·         Strong mathematical skills for measurement and calculation.

·         Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tools and materials.

·         Ability to read and understand technical documents.

Pay: $22 -$35 per hour + Overtime
