About the role

Lawrence Equipment is seeking an experiencedSheet Metal Department Supervisorto lead our sheet metal fabrication operations. This hands-on role oversees all aspects of sheet metal processing, includingpress brake,laseroperations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sheet metal manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive quality, safety, and efficiency within the department.

What you'll do

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sheet metal fabrication personnel.
  • Oversee operation of press brakes and lasers to ensure accuracy and productivity.
  • Program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC fabrication equipment as needed.
  • Ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage workflow to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.
  • Train and mentor team members on equipment operation, safety, and quality procedures.
  • Monitor tool wear, maintenance schedules, and inventory of raw materials.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, welding, and assembly departments to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives in quality, efficiency, and safety.

Qualifications
