Job Title: Entry Level MIG Welder – Flatbed Commercial Body Manufacturing

Job Description

Join a high-volume manufacturing facility as a MIG Welder, producing commercial flatbed bodies using horizontal and vertical welding techniques on sheet metal. You will work in a machine shop environment alongside other skilled trades professionals, contributing to the fabrication of durable, high-quality products on a stable first-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on sheet metal components, including horizontal and vertical welds, to meet production and quality standards.
  • Read and follow work instructions and job specifications to complete welds accurately and efficiently.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain MIG welding equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner.
  • Inspect welds and finished parts for quality, ensuring proper penetration, alignment, and adherence to company standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members in the machine shop, paint departments, and welding stations to support production goals.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of materials and equipment.
  • Adapt to a large facility environment with various heavy equipment and machinery, remaining alert to potential hazards.
  • Adhere to the established first-shift schedule and be available for occasional overtime when needed.

Pay and Benefits
