Finance company located in Harrisburg, PA is seeking an entry level Payment Processor. Must have 1+ year experience working in an accounting role. Hours M-F 8am to 5pm, Pay starts at $17, Once perm, company offers pay increases and excellent benefits.

Position Overview

Seeking a reliable, detail-oriented candidate to support payment processing, mail handling, and clerical operations within a fast-paced Client Success team. This role requires strong accuracy, organization, and the ability to meet daily deadlines.

Core Responsibilities

Mail & Intake Processing

  • Retrieve, sort, and open daily mail
  • Operate mail equipment (Opex)
  • Track daily mail volume in Excel

Payment Processing & Reconciliation

  • Post payments into system (Fusion)
  • Balance daily banking reports
  • Prepare deposits and endorse checks
  • Scan and reconcile payments (CheqScan)
  • Process member payments and adjustments

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain daily payment logs
  • Attach and file supporting documentation
  • Generate reports as needed
  • Scan and maintain organized records

Administrative Support

  • Route mail to internal departments
  • Respond to basic client inquiries (phone/email)
  • Provide front desk/lobby coverage as needed
  • Assist with general clerical tasks

Refund Processing

  • Review and process refund reports
  • Print refund checks and supporting documents
  • Handle postage refund submissions

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Data entry and basic financial processing
  • Familiarity with office equipment

Core Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Clear communication (written and verbal)

  • Must have a valid drivers license
