Payment Processor

Pay: $24–$26/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Duration: Estimated 6-week leave coverage with strong potential for extension of 3+ additional months

Location: Norwood MA

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payment Processor to join a collaborative team of approximately 30 professionals. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in banking, teller operations, payment processing, cash application, accounts receivable, or other transaction-focused environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting departmental operations while handling sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process incoming customer payments and accurately apply transactions to customer accounts.
  • Review payment information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Perform data entry and update account information within company systems.
  • Maintain accurate records while handling confidential financial information.
  • Assist with routine reporting and spreadsheet updates using Microsoft Excel.
  • Support the team with additional administrative and payment-related tasks as needed.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in banking, teller services, payment processing, cash application, accounts receivable, or a similar transactional role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to navigate and update spreadsheets.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
