Job description

Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a Patent Prosecution & Litigation Technical Advisor with a background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. This position is open to candidates in multiple office locations across the U.S.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a premier team of intellectual property professionals focused on cutting-edge technologies including 5G/6G wireless communication, embedded systems, and advanced software applications. Ideal Candidate Profile
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required

  • Experience in a Law Firm required
  • Prior experience in intellectual property or patent law preferred

  • Familiarity with 3GPP wireless communication standards (5G/6G) is a plus, especially for experienced candidates

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills

  • Strong academic record and analytical abilities

  • Team-oriented mindset and an eagerness to learn and contribute

Responsibilities
  • Support patent prosecution and litigation efforts related to electrical and software-based inventions

Compensation
  • Technical Advisor: $80,000 โ€“ $105,000

  • Patent Agent (if registered with USPTO): $99,600 โ€“ $145,800
