Job description

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Paralegal Legal Assistant opportunity available with an established Law Firm located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Law Firm provides Collection and Legal Services to creditors in Florida and nationwide.
The  Paralegal Legal Assistant is responsible for below specific duties.
Your specific duties will include:

  • Assisting the Attorney with all aspects of civil litigation matters.
  • Organizing, maintaining, and updating case files.
  • Preparing motions, notices of hearings, and drafting pleadings.
  • Managing the Attorney’s calendar and scheduling appointments.
  • Scheduling calls, depositions, hearings, and court appearances.
  • Managing case deadlines, ensuring timely filing of documents, and tracking overall case progress.
  • Assisting with trial preparation.
  • Handling electronic filing (e-filing).
  • Managing billing and related administrative tasks.

Required qualifications for the position include:

  • A minimum of five 2 years of litigation experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage case files and deadlines.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications for the position include:

  • Experience with Clio and Pacer Legal software.
