PSR Operator Level 3 - Southport, NC
This is an Entry level hourly position.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Packaging Manager, the Packaging Operator III performs a variety of tasks within an industrial packaging and warehouse environment. This role requires the ability to set up, operate, monitor, and maintain packaging equipment while ensuring compliance with company, safety, and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Setup and operate designated packaging machines; monitor operations for malfunctions and make minor adjustments as needed.
  • Verify that materials being packaged meet all specifications and quality requirements.
  • Track and properly dispose of rework materials.
  • Operate various palletizing and packaging systems, including:
    • Citric Acid High-Speed Bag Line Palletizer
    • Sodium Citrate/Potassium Citrate High-Speed Bag Line Palletizer
    • Powder Drum Line Palletizer
    • Citric and Salts Drum Line Palletizer
    • Citrosol Loading Equipment
    • Stretch Wrappers
    • Citri-Stim Packaging Palletizer
  • Coordinate with the lead operator or foreman regarding packaging needs for the shift.
  • Clean and maintain packaging equipment in a safe and orderly condition.
  • Collect samples of packaged materials for Quality Control (QC) testing.
  • Observe packaging operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with standards.
  • Read and interpret work orders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other documentation to determine specifications.
  • Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas using appropriate equipment and tools.
  • Assist in loading trucks in the shipping area as needed.
  • Adhere to ADM and OSHA safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Quality Assurance (QA) specifications.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to read and write effectively.
  • Basic computer literacy, including keyboard and mouse operation.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Desired Experience:
  • Previous experience in an industrial environment preferred.
