Production Welder (Plant 914)

Reports to:Frame Shop Area Manager

General Expectations:

The Chassis Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing chassis and metal components to ensure a high-quality, durable coating that meets company and customer specifications. This role involves surface preparation, masking, mixing and applying paint, operating spray equipment, and inspecting finished products for quality and consistency. The Chassis Painter follows safety, environmental, and quality standards while maintaining production schedules and keeping work areas clean and organized.

Production teams ensure that all homes meet sales orders, prints, specifications, and building codes, while ensuring high-quality standards in a timely manner.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Safety:Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.

Productivity:Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.

Stewardship:Serve as a good steward of our company's physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping your assigned area clean, and orderly.

Planning:Assist your Team Leader and Area Coordinator to plan and organize the manufacturing activities in your area by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality and productivity issues.

Attendance:Meet all attendance requirements, available for start of shift at required time, and follow the attendance rules and regulations of the plant.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

1. Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50lbs., as well as other physical duties as needed.

2. You must be able to communicate efficiently and clearly with other Team Members.

3. Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired.
