Description

The Parts & Shipping Clerk supports day-to-day parts operations by ordering and staging parts for the counter and field technicians, executing accurate shipping and receiving, supporting field delivery needs, and maintaining precise inventory records. This role is entry-level and hands-on, with success measured by accuracy, timeliness, safety, and dependable internal and external customer support. It requires local & regional travel on a regular basis.


ESSENTIAL Duties and Responsibilities:


Shipping & Receiving

Examine contents of inbound and outbound shipments and compare with manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.

Prepare shipping documents including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping orders.

Complete the full receiving process within 3 days of receipt.

Correspond with vendors and internal teams to resolve damages, shortages, or non-conformance issues.


Parts Delivery & Field Support

Deliver parts to customers, job sites, and technicians in a safe, timely, and professional manner.

Support technicians and service teams by staging, pulling, and delivering required parts.

Represent the company professionally while interfacing with customers during deliveries.


Parts Operations

Manage system movement of parts through accurate data entry to maintain real-time inventory records.

Store, restock, and organize materials and supplies to maintain inventory accuracy and accessibility.

Assist with cycle counts, annual inventories, and parts consignment counts; overtime may be required at certain times of year.

Place and receive parts orders to support Parts Counter and service operations.

Assist other Parts Counter staff and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts area.

Requirements

The individual in this position should be reliable, detail-oriented, ethical, and team-focused, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, customers, suppliers, and coworkers while maintaining a high standard of execution.


Education / Training / Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent.


Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

High attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Continuous improvement mindset with willingness to learn.

Basic knowledge of supply chain practices and automotive or equipment components.


Licenses / Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Must be able to pass background checks and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with routine bending, twisting, and crouching.
