As a Tool Install Associate Design Lead, you will play a key role in bringing complex manufacturing environments to life by supporting the development of tool installation design packages for some of the industry's most innovative clients.
Working alongside experienced Design Leads, engineers, and designers, you will help coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts across mechanical, process, electrical, and controls systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop technical expertise, gain exposure to leading-edge semiconductor projects, and build the leadership skills needed to progress into a future Design Lead position.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to develop high-quality tool installation construction documents that meet project requirements, industry best practices, and client standards.
  • Partner with Design Leads to coordinate multidisciplinary design activities and ensure alignment across project stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of design packages that are accurate, complete, and executed within established scope, schedule, and budget targets.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks to project objectives.
  • Work with Design Leads and Design Managers to support scope management and the development of change orders when project requirements evolve.
  • Collaborate with Project Controls teams to review project budgets, forecasts, and resource needs.
  • Facilitate client and contractor design review meetings, capture action items and stakeholder feedback, and ensure timely documentation of meeting outcomes.
  • Participate in field walks and learn how a semiconductor factory operates
  • Proactively track open design and construction issues, working with project teams to develop practical solutions and drive resolution.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, project partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and project delivery performance.
  • Take ownership of personal development through mentoring, training, and hands-on project experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field required
  • Entry-level position; recent graduates and candidates seeking to begin a career in engineering design and project delivery are encouraged to apply.

Preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience or internship exposure within advanced technology, semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
  • Experience working within consulting engineering, construction, or design environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative team setting.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives or Lean methodologies.

Technical & Professional Skills
  • Basic understanding of engineering and design processes within multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Familiarity with Lean project delivery principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Power BI is a plus.
