Survey Field Technician (Entry-Level)
Start Your Career in Land Surveying with SGC Survey
SGC Survey is seeking motivated entry-level candidates to join our growing team as Survey Field Technicians. This is a hands-on, outdoor role designed for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the surveying industry.
You'll work alongside experienced Crew Chiefs and Instrument Operators, gaining real-world experience while developing the skills needed to advance into higher-level roles within our organization.
**Compensation for this role is $18-20/hr.**
**This role requires travel across multiple states and is per diem eligible.**
What You'll Do
  • Assist survey crews in the field with data collection and measurements
  • Set up and maintain surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, levels)
  • Drive stakes, mark boundaries, and support layout activities
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment
  • Follow safety procedures and company standards
  • Travel to job sites as needed

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, walking long distances, etc.)
