Job description

Summary

The Logistics Specialist is an entry-level position that will support the Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS).

Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) program. The successful candidate must have experience and demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • Creating Shipments
  • Receiving Shipments
  • Restocking Inventory
  • Maintaining inventory levels
  • Coordinate with Site Lead to maintain a shipment schedule
  • Review cost shipments to ensure we meet price and deadline
  • Keeping track of items not in database on appropriate spreadsheets
  • Maintaining Mobile Warehouse Inventory
  • Consulting daily with Field Engineers and Site Lead prior to requisitions, monthly bundle shipments, and emergency shipments
  • Fulfill Requisitions
  • Data Entry of shipments being received
  • Physical restocking of shipments being received
  • Assisting in Quarterly audits
  • Completing weekly cycle counts
  • Coordinate with Site Lead when ordering supplies for shipping and receiving
  • Weekly charge status report for lithium battery boxes on site
  • Transfer inventory between warehouses
  • Drop-off small packages to FedEx locale facility when needed
  • Must be able to assist Site Lead in preparation of international shipments

The pay range for this position is $23.08-$25.00/hour.

The Logistics Specialist will support the Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expert in shipping, receiving and warehousing
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be familiar with shipping and receiving software

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Good written and verbal communications skills
      • Must be able to complete Stand-up and Sit-down forklift certification
      • Must be able to obtain Dangerous Goods certification
      • Must be able to lift 70 lbs. frequently
      • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

        Must be able to work in a warehouse, lift 70 pounds frequently, drive a motor vehicle (Usually a pickup truck) and a forklift.
