Job description

Iteris is seeking a Staff Accountant to be an integral part of the accounting team. Reporting to the Manager of General Accounting, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and month-end close process, including journal entries, general account reconciliations, flux analysis, and accruals.
In office Monday-Thursday and remote Fridays.
What you will be doing:
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, accruals, expense allocations and account reconciliations
  • Partner with legal, finance, sales operations, and other cross-functional teams on accruals and other accounting-related matters
  • Prepare and review month-end flux analysis
  • Process fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals and other transactions in Oracle
  • Create and review Oracle accounting processes on a weekly basis
  • Responsible for the quality, accuracy, timeliness and documentation of account reconciliations
  • Assist with auditor requests related to quarterly reviews, annual financial statement, and overhead audits
  • Improve, develop and implement documentation and processes related to areas of responsibility
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis and other special projects

What you need to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting or related field
  • Over two (2) years of accounting experience
  • Working experience with U.S. GAAP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, i.e., Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Public accounting experience preferred

Iteris anticipates paying a base salary between $77,500 and $86,300 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
