The Opportunity
Entry-Level Operations Team Members provide full-time vacation and training relief until seniority allows bidding into permanent positions. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the mill within a department labor pool, including:
  • Paper Mill
  • Pulp Mill
  • Shipping
  • Power & Recovery

This role offers exposure to a variety of jobs in a fast-paced, physically demanding industrial environment that requires adaptability and multitasking.
What You'll Do
As part of our operations team, you will:
  • Work and communicate effectively in a team-based environment
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Adhere to all safety rules and job-specific requirements
  • Comply with environmental policies and guidelines
  • Maintain strong housekeeping standards
What You Need to Succeed
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years of continuous full-time work experience, preferably in manufacturing/production, or post-secondary education
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure and demonstrate basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to working safely
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in noisy environments, around chemicals, high heat, and in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pulp & Paper manufacturing experience
  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience within the last 5 years
  • Experience operating:
    • Overhead cranes
    • Bobcats
    • Lift trucks, clamp trucks, or scissor lifts
  • Experience working around large, moving machinery
  • Prior experience working rotating shifts
