About the role
The Operations Analyst, Payment Resolution & Research is responsible for processing premium collection and providing accurate information to service our clients and policyholders. The position will be a communicator, problem solver, and agent for change to provide continuous improvements.
What you'll do
  • Process premium received based on type of products, accurate data entry ability.
  • Process policy loans and run cost basis requests
  • Daily processing of bank activity including lockbox rejects
  • Make corrections to policies due to coding errors, account/bank information errors.
  • Ability conduct research and meet deadlines.
  • Assist with unclaimed property research and Claims requests
  • Accounting balancing skills and General ledger knowledge.
  • Assist with the 1099 process for policyholders
  • Handle inbound/outbound calls from all applicable customers including but not limited to third party contacts, clients contacts, third party vendors and internal team resources.
  • Develop broad understanding of products, services, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws for effective service delivery.

Qualifications
Experience
  • Two-year degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent experience preferred.
  • LOMA 1 & 2 courses completed/passed within two years of hire.
  • One to three years of customer service or insurance background desired.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge.

Skills/Competencies
  • Strong organizational skills with elevated level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated persistency and ability to deliver results under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and proofreading skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Must be a flexible self-starter who can prioritize tasks, follow through and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Demands
  • Normal office working environment, full time with some flexibility
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours to meet deadlines
  • Occasional travel is required
  • Ability to type / perform data entry
  • Ability to read from a computer screen and paper reports
  • Express ideas and otherwise communicate with the spoken word
