Job description

This position is responsible for the review and analysis of credit and financial information as well as industry economic data to verify continuing credit worthiness of customers in accordance with Primebank's lending operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead, analyze and interpret business and personal financial statements and federal/state tax returns. Review credit in a range of industries and various types of commercial real estate. Such industries would include agricultural, CRE, general C&I, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, retail transportation and specialty business.Review loan files to ensure they qualify within the structure, documentation, and credit quality standards of the bank's Credit Policy and guidelines, ensuring the bank's collateral position is properly perfected.Present loan/credit files that do not meet the standards of the bank's credit policy, with a detailed explanation of the credit exceptions and the recommended action necessary to correct the deficiencies and improve the bank's position. Communicate directly with lenders to request correction of any minor documentation discrepancies or identified potential credit weakness and recommend alternatives for improving the credit and monitor follow-up action.Perform in-house evaluations by estimating the market value of land, residential and commercial properties; analyzing local and regional market trends; comparing properties to similar ones for sale or recently sold; and understanding economic conditions.Create a detailed evaluation report documenting the valuation process, findings and conclusions, including supporting data and analysis.Attendance is essential function of the job. QualificationsEducationA bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred. Knowledge and Experience1 -2 years of related banking/analysis experience and/or training. Skills and AbilitiesAbility to complete accurate financial analysis by compiling, categorizing, calculating, and auditing information and communicating the results.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A self-starter who has the initiative and ability to work independently.Detail oriented, ability to read and understand information presented.Ability to manage workload by organizing and prioritizing tasks.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.This position requires a selected candidate must pass a criminal history background check and have favorable credit history for bonding purposes.
