Job description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a rapidly growing 3PL in Itasca, IL to hire an Operations Coordinator. This is a great opportunity for someone with freight brokerage or 3PL experience who enjoys a fast-paced logistics environment and wants to grow with a company handling complex, high-value shipments.
What You'll Do
  • Track and update shipment statuses using McLeod Software
  • Communicate regularly with drivers regarding shipment updates, timing, and delivery status
  • Manage daily email communication with carriers, customers, and internal teams
  • Partner closely with dispatch and account management to troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues
  • Support high-value freight operations while maintaining accurate shipment data and compliance
  • Use Excel to track, log, and validate shipment information
  • Help keep shipments moving smoothly from pickup through delivery

What We're Looking For
  • 1+ year of experience in a 3PL, freight brokerage, transportation, or logistics environment required
  • Experience coordinating freight with carriers and/or drivers
  • Experience working with a TMS; McLeod experience is a major plus
  • High-value freight experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Schedule & Work Setup
  • Monday-Friday: 12:00 PM-9:00 PM
    OR
  • Tuesday-Friday: 9:00 AM-6:00 PM + Saturday: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • Hybrid: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote initially, with the schedule transitioning to 3 days onsite / 2 days remote when the team moves floors

Compensation & Benefits
  • $22/hour with the opportunity to earn additional compensation upon conversion
