Hiring a Waste Operations Analyst!
Job Description
The Waste Operations Analyst is an entry-level position that supports commercial and specialized waste operations through data analysis, research, and administrative support. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, reducing customer costs, and assisting with specialized waste projects by working within established procedures and regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their careers who bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn. Responsibilities
  • Support the analysis of commercial and specialized waste programs to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings.
  • Collect, organize, and review operational, financial, and service data from multiple sources to support decision-making.
  • Assist with evaluating vendor pricing, service levels, utilization, and contract information to ensure value and compliance.
  • Support cost reduction and service optimization initiatives by following established company procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist with specialized waste projects involving hazardous, non-hazardous, and other regulated waste streams while adhering to company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports, maintain accurate documentation, and update customer and vendor information within company systems.
  • Utilize company-approved software and analytical tools, including reporting platforms and video analysis tools, to support operational reviews and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Vendor Management, Customer Management, and other internal departments to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the broader operations and business needs.

Essential Skills
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Environmental Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and data sources accurately.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights to support operational decisions.

Work Environment
This role is based in an office environment with a schedule of five days per week on site. The work involves frequent collaboration with internal teams such as Sales, Vendor Management, and Customer Management, requiring regular communication and coordination. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
