Nonprofit Tax AccountantThe team you would be joining is a full-service professional services firm providing clients with audit and assurance, tax, outsourced accounting, and advisory solutions.We have been part of the Washington, DC metropolitan region since the 1980's. The firm provides outsourced accounting, auditing, risk advisory and consulting, and tax services to an extensive client base, which consists of nonprofit organizations, government contractors, professional service firms and others.Looking for an entry level Nonprofit Tax Role at an energetic & passionate company? Our CPA Firm is in search of a Nonprofit Tax Accountant to join our team.Location: Washington-Baltimore metro area ~ 3 days onsite/2 days WFHSalary: $70,000 - $90,000Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Prepares Form 990 and other forms needed for exempt organization clients.Prepares information returns of various complexities using accounting software.Prepares projections through utilization of accounting software.Reviews information submitted by client's for completeness.Prepares and indexes working papers.Communicates with clients via email and telephone.Requirements:1-2 years of experience in public accounting, preparing individual and/or information tax returns using relevant tax software.Either hold a current and valid certified public accountant's license, or be in active preparation to sit for the CPA exam.Proficiency with computer spreadsheet software. CaseWare preferred.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive firm and client information.Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and timelines.Ability to work independently, use sound judgment and prioritize tasks.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.Benefits:This is a full time position.
