Job description

LaSalle Network is hiring for a Development Coordinator with a nonprofit development operations focus, known for building impactful donor relationships and advancing community initiatives. Our client, a prominent organization in Chicago, IL, is looking for a detail-oriented, solutions-minded Development Coordinator to support their growing development function in a hybrid environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to play a critical role in gift processing, donor acknowledgments, and data integrity - contributing directly to a developing, mission-driven organization.
The role offers potential for Contract-to-Hire transition for the right candidate, providing stability and growth in a collaborative setting.
Responsibilities
• Process incoming gifts accurately and efficiently; maintain clean donor and gift data.
• Prepare and send donor acknowledgement communications/letters in a timely manner.
• Support database work including data entry, data pulls, reporting, and general donor record maintenance.
• Assist with process improvement and adherence to established SOPs as the team continues to scale.
• Support additional Development Operations needs as required (e.g., compiling information, helping create basic materials like PowerPoints, administrative support tied to donor operations).
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with donor information and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in nonprofit development operations, specifically gift processing and donor acknowledgements.
• Experience working in a donor database/CRM (Virtuous strongly preferred; similar systems acceptable).
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of data accuracy.
• Demonstrated problem-solving mindset and ability to operate without overly prescriptive direction.
• Strong interpersonal skills / EQ and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in an environment that is building and evolving processes.
