About the job Entry Level Truck Driver
American Driver is hiring Entry Level CDL A Truck Drivers based in Monroe, LA. This is a full-time W2 OTR position open to recent CDL graduates and drivers with limited experience. You'll have a dedicated mentor and a structured path from training to solo driving.
Drivers typically run 2,200-2,500 miles per week and earn between $1,200 and $1,500 after completing training.
Starting Out:

  • 4-6 weeks of paid training with a dedicated mentor
  • Focus on real routes, safety, inspections, and daily operations
  • Guaranteed weekly pay during training
  • After training, solo pay starts at $0.56 CPM
What This Job Looks Like:
  • Dry van, no-touch freight
  • About 60% drop and hook
  • Consistent miles with minimal downtime
  • Day and night runs depending on dispatch
Pay After Training:
  • $0.56-$0.65 CPM based on experience
  • Weekly earnings typically $1,200-$1,500
  • Additional pay for stops, layovers, and breakdowns
  • Pay increases every six months
  • $300 paid orientation
  • Weekly direct deposit
Home Time:
  • Home every two weeks on a planned schedule
Equipment:
  • Assigned Freightliner and Kenworth (2022-2025) with APUs
