Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse license in South Carolina
  • BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
  • Recent NICU II and NICU III experience required
  • At least 1 year of Epic experience required
  • Previous travel nurse experience required; no first-time travelers at this time
  • Ability to work night shifts and support weekend coverage as scheduled
  • Comfort floating to other NICU units or facilities as needed
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill neonates and infants in a fast-paced NICU environment
  • Monitor and manage complex neonatal conditions, including respiratory distress, sepsis, hypoglycemia, and drug exposure or withdrawal
  • Assist with specialized neonatal procedures such as full-body cooling, chest tube management, and tracheostomy care
  • Support newborns with surgical and congenital conditions, including abdominal wall defects, TEF, diaphragmatic hernia, and myelomeningocele
  • Safely operate and manage advanced neonatal equipment and ventilatory support systems
  • Document care accurately in Epic and maintain strong charting standards
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary support teams to promote excellent patient outcomes
  • Float to other qualified NICU areas or facilities when needed to support census and patient care needs
