Entry Level New Grad information

What is an entry level new grad?

Entry level new grad jobs are positions specifically designed for recent graduates who have little to no professional work experience in their chosen field. These roles typically provide on-the-job training and mentorship to help new grads transition from an academic environment to the workforce. Employers offering these positions often seek candidates with relevant degrees, a willingness to learn, and foundational skills rather than extensive experience. Entry level new grad jobs are available in a wide variety of industries, including business, engineering, healthcare, and technology.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level new grad, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level New Grad, you generally need a relevant academic degree, foundational knowledge in your field, and a willingness to learn new concepts quickly. Familiarity with industry-standard tools, software, or platforms—such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or specific programs related to your discipline—is often expected. Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills help you stand out as you transition from academia to a professional environment. These skills are important because they enable you to contribute effectively, learn from colleagues, and grow within your first professional role.

What kinds of mentorship or training can entry level new grads typically expect when starting their first professional role?

Entry Level New Grads are often supported through structured onboarding programs, mentorship from experienced colleagues, and ongoing training sessions to help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world work. Many organizations assign new grads a mentor or buddy to guide them through the company culture, answer questions, and provide feedback on their progress. This support helps new employees build confidence, develop professional skills, and quickly become productive members of the team. Participating in these programs also offers great opportunities for networking and career development within the company.

Job description

Location: Northern Virginia (local candidates only)

Ready to create exceptional experiences for Residents while diving into the world of single-family property management? Join Real Property Management Pros as our Assistant Property Readiness Coordinator and play a vital role in ensuring smooth move-ins, efficient move-outs, and top-tier customer service.

Why Join Real Property Management Pros?

  • Hands-On Training: Whether you’re a recent grad or pivoting careers, we’ll teach you the ins and outs of single-family property management, from property evaluations to coordinating “Make Ready” maintenance projects.
  • Local Expertise, National Support: We’re a locally owned franchise of North America’s largest residential property management organization, giving you the best of both worlds—personalized mentorship backed by national resources.
  • Positive Resident Experience: We’re on a mission to elevate our NPS (Net Promoter Score) by delivering a first-class experience to every Resident. Your role is key in ensuring our Residents love their new homes and feel supported throughout their rental journey.
  • Collaborative Environment: You’ll join a team that values communication, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving—so you’ll always have support at your fingertips.

What You’ll Do

1) Oversee Move-Ins & Move-Outs

  • Schedule and conduct property evaluations, ensuring Residents move in seamlessly and have a positive first impression.
  • Document property conditions at move-in and move-out, address questions, and coordinate any necessary follow-up.

2) Coordinate Make-Ready Projects

  • Organize repairs, cleanings, and other services between Resident turnovers.
  • Communicate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure homes are fully prepped for new Residents.

3) Champion Resident Satisfaction

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Residents during the transition periods, answering questions and resolving concerns.
  • Encourage Residents to provide feedback and positive reviews as we strive to enhance our NPS score.

4) Collaborate with the Leasing Team

  • Work closely with Leasing Agents to share updates on property conditions, track progress, and ensure our Landlord/Investor clients stay informed.
  • Provide concierge-level service by educating Investors on property statuses and potential upgrades.

5) Maintain Detailed Records

  • Accurately document all interactions and property details in our software systems.
  • Keep digital and physical records updated for compliance and accountability.

Who You Are

  • Customer-Focused: You genuinely enjoy helping people and understand the importance of creating positive experiences for Residents.
  • Detail-Oriented: You notice the small things that make a big difference in property condition evaluations and make-ready processes.
  • Organized & Flexible: You can juggle multiple tasks, re-prioritize as needed, and keep projects running on time.
  • A Clear Communicator: You can relay information effectively to Residents, Investors, contractors, and fellow team members—both verbally and in writing.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using software tools, apps, and online platforms to keep tasks on track and communicate updates.
  • Locally Based: You live in Northern Virginia (ideally within the territory where your portfolio is located) to handle field work and property visits.
  • Interest in Real Estate: Whether you’re exploring a new career path or have some background in related fields (e.g., mortgage processing, project coordination), you’re eager to learn about single-family property management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred (recent grads encouraged to apply).
  • Experience in a customer-facing or project coordination role is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site visits.
  • Ability to pass background checks in accordance with local regulations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $18–$25/hr (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance Bonuses: Potential additional earnings based on team and NPS performance (not guaranteed).
  • Work Structure:
  • Full-Time, 40 hours/week + occasional overtime (paid at 1.5x)
  • Hybrid approach: field work, remote tasks, and regular office collaboration
  • Initial training 3 days/week in our Gainesville, VA headquarters; 2 days/week in our Alexandria office
  • Paid Holidays & PTO: 8 paid holidays + additional paid time off based on tenure
  • Mileage Reimbursement: For field visits and errands
  • Professional Growth: We value internal promotions—learn single-family property management from the ground up and chart a path to higher-level roles.

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you’re looking for a dynamic, collaborative role where you can deliver a first-class experience to Residents and help properties shine, apply today! We can’t wait to see what you’ll bring to our team.
