Responsibilities:

•        Industrial IT Network Engineers design, deploy, maintain, and optimize the networking components of our virtual WPC environments. Engineers are expected to work onsite to support customers directly—including participating in on-call rotations (12-hour daytime shifts for one week at a time).

•        The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Cisco networking technologies, Layer 2/3 design, firewall administration, industrial networking principles, SolarWinds or similar monitoring platforms, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers, operational technology teams, and cybersecurity partners.

Responsibilities

•        Manage and support enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and remote access technologies, ensuring optimal performance, security, and high availability.

•        Design, configure, and maintain Layer 2/3 network environments, including VLANs, routing protocols (BGP), ACLs, VPN tunnels, and network segmentation strategies used within Industrial IT systems.

•        Provide troubleshooting and operational support for Cisco hardware and industrial networking components within air gapped and secure environments.

•        Perform network monitoring, analysis, and reporting using tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, and SNMP-based telemetry to proactively identify and resolve issues.

•        Industrial networking technologies including Layer 2/3 networking, VLAN segmentation, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), high-availability, and secure remote-access solutions.

•        Hands-on experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds and syslog, with strong documentation abilities.
