Job Description

T-21 Construction & Land Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Natural Gas Utility Laborer to join our underground utility construction team. We are looking for someone who understands the daily operations of natural gas installation and takes pride in working safely, efficiently, and as part of a professional crew.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants should have hands-on experience in underground utility construction, particularly natural gas distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Install underground natural gas distribution systems.
  • Fuse polyethylene (HDPE) gas pipe using approved fusion equipment.
  • Hand dig and safely expose existing underground utilities.
  • Read utility locate markings and work safely around existing infrastructure.
  • Assist with trenching, backfilling, grading, and restoration.
  • Load, unload, and organize tools, pipe, fittings, and materials.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and utility safety standards.
  • Complete daily job tasks while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Work effectively with foremen, operators, and crew members.
  • Travel to various job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience installing natural gas utilities.
  • Experience fusing polyethylene (PE) pipe.
  • Knowledge of gas service installation and distribution systems.
  • Experience potholing and hand digging around live utilities.
  • Ability to identify utility locates and maintain required clearances.
  • Familiarity with construction equipment and underground utility work.
  • Ability to use common construction tools and equipment safely.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong attendance and dependable work ethic.
  • Safety-minded with attention to detail.
