Job Summary
Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.
Position Title: Production Process Technician I
Location: Madison, Wisconsin USA
Department: Manufacturing
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Position Overview:
The Production Process Technician Level 1 is an hourly / non-exempt entry-level role responsible for supporting the production and processing of food and dietary ingredients in a manufacturing plant. This position involves assisting with the operation and maintenance of production equipment, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the setup, operation, and monitoring of production equipment.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
  • Monitor production processes and report any deviations or issues to supervisors.
  • Conduct quality checks and accurately record data.
  • Adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and goals.
  • Participate in training programs to develop skills and knowledge in food and dietary ingredient manufacturing.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
