Job description

Senior Software Engineer - Mobile & .NET

Orlando, FL | Full-Time | 100% Onsite

Build the Mobile Experience. Own the Backend That Powers It.

AutoPayPlus is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Mobile & .NET who is comfortable working across the stack - not someone limited to just the mobile UI or just the backend.

Our applications support financial transactions and member experiences where performance, reliability, security, and accuracy matter. We're looking for an experienced developer who can step into our environment, contribute quickly, troubleshoot real production challenges, and help us continue improving the technology behind our products.

This is a hands-on development role. You'll work closely with a collaborative development team, Product, QA, and business stakeholders while having the opportunity to influence how our applications continue to evolve.

What You'll Be Working On

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and enhance mobile applications supporting both iOS and Android.
  • Build and maintain responsive web and mobile experiences using Angular and Ionic/Capacitor/Cordova.
  • Develop and support backend services and APIs using C# and .NET.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs using ASP.NET Web API and ASP.NET Core.
  • Work extensively with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
  • Create and maintain stored procedures, views, complex queries, and data-driven application functionality.
  • Troubleshoot application issues across mobile, web, backend, QA, staging, and production environments.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and enterprise systems.
  • Develop real-time functionality, notifications, alerts, and other member-facing features.
  • Support mobile releases through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, Agile/Scrum ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Help improve application performance, scalability, security, reliability, and overall member experience.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who already has a strong foundation in both mobile development and Microsoft backend development and can contribute without requiring significant ramp-up in the core technologies supporting our environment.

Must-Have Experience

  • Strong professional C#/.NET development experience.
  • Hands-on experience building REST APIs using ASP.NET Web API and/or ASP.NET Core.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
  • Experience working with stored procedures, views, complex queries, and SQL performance.
  • Professional mobile application development experience.
  • Experience developing and supporting applications across iOS and Android.
  • Experience with Angular and cross-platform mobile development.
  • Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and services.
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting production applications.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD.
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Strongly Preferred

  • Ionic, Capacitor, and/or Cordova.
  • Both .NET Framework 4.x and modern .NET.
  • Azure DevOps.
  • IIS-hosted applications and Microsoft enterprise environments.
  • WebSockets, SignalR, Firebase, or other real-time technologies.
  • APNs and Firebase Cloud Messaging.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play release management.
  • Third-party API and enterprise system integrations.
  • SQL performance tuning and optimization.
  • Mobile synchronization and offline data functionality.
  • Financial services, fintech, banking, payments, or other transaction-heavy applications.

Why This Role Is Different

This isn't a position where you'll spend your day working on one small piece of an application.

You'll have visibility across the mobile experience, APIs, backend services, databases, integrations, and production environment. We're looking for someone who enjoys understanding how the pieces connect, solving difficult problems, and taking ownership of solutions from development through deployment.

Because our technology supports financial services, the work you do directly contributes to the reliability and trust our members expect from AutoPayPlus.

About AutoPayPlus

AutoPayPlus is a growing fintech company focused on helping consumers better manage their finances, protect their credit, and become debt-free faster.

Since 2003, we've served more than 250,000 members and processed more than $5.65 billion in loan payments through longstanding partnerships nationwide.

We're continuing to grow - and we're looking for an experienced engineer who wants to help us build what's next.

What We Offer

  • 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays
  • Life insurance
  • Short- and long-term disability
  • Collaborative, hands-on development environment
  • Opportunity to influence product and technology decisions
  • Long-term growth opportunities within an established fintech organization

Location

This position is fully onsite, five days per week, at our Orlando, Florida office.

Candidates should be comfortable working alongside the team in person and able to reliably commute to the Orlando office.

If you're an experienced developer who enjoys working across mobile applications, .NET backend systems, APIs, and databases and wants the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing fintech platform, we'd like to hear from you.

Apply today and help us build the next generation of the AutoPayPlus experience.

AutoPayPlus is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
