Your future role at a glance

Location: Wauwatosa, WI

Facility: Columbia Saint Mary's

Department/Specialty: Rehabilitation

Schedule: .9 Full time | 0730-1600 M-F no weekends Day shift

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Clinical Assessment & Planning: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and diagnostic reviews to develop individualized, physician-approved exercise prescriptions and treatment plans.
  • Vital Monitoring & Safety: Provide continuous monitoring of ECG rhythms, hemodynamics, and physiological responses during exercise to ensure patient safety and adjust interventions in real-time.
  • Multi-Phase Care: Deliver specialized rehabilitation across the continuum of care, from early mobilization in Phase I (inpatient) to supervised training in Phases II and III (outpatient).
  • Patient Education & Coaching: Instruct patients on risk factor modification, lifestyle changes, and behavior strategies to support long-term adherence and symptom management.
  • Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain precise clinical records and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure program quality and seamless patient transitions.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
What additional requirements you'll need

BS degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science preferred MS degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science.  Must have prior experience in cardiac pulmonary rehab
