Job Summary

The Exercise Planner / Collection Manager supports Air Operations Center (AOC) intelligence and collection management operations by coordinating ISR planning, prioritizing intelligence requirements, and synchronizing collection activities to support operational objectives and AOD guidance. This role leverages expertise in AOC collection management processes, theater and coalition collection platforms, and intelligence operations to develop collection plans, ISR synchronization products, and reconnaissance tasking while supporting exercises, contingency operations, and liaison activities in a joint or multi-service environment.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. 

Responsibilities

  • This planner must also know the details of doctrinal AOC intelligence cell processes to include all-source intelligence analysis and production of intelligence products ensuring the AOC RC intelligence replication requirements are properly prioritized, validated, and where possible, satisfied from available collection platforms.
  • The planner will conduct ISR planning in close coordination with other AOC RC SMEs/white force and service LNOs as replicated to produce the prioritized collection lists/prioritized operational and tactical collection tasks, the ISR Synchronization Matrix, and the RSTA Annex based on requirements and AOD guidance.
  • The planning will include any cross-cueing guidance required between replicated or white force internal and external agencies. As required, the planner will participate in exercise deliberate planning and execution at home station or TDY location or go forward as the AOC LNO.

Requirements

  • AS degree and 3 years minimum as CAOC/AOC CM, MAJCOM CM, or CM in joint environment.
  • 3 Years as ISR Analyst, mentor or instructor.
  • Three years' currently experience AOC CM processes, TTPs to include capabilities and limitations of theater collection platforms.
  • Knowledge in coalition and multiservice collection platforms and processes.
  • Understanding of ISR operations planning, tasking, execution, and coordination within and outside the AOC.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and CM systems including PRISM and RMS.
  • Participation in two or more AOC/Joint exercises as CM, ISRLO, SIDO, or ISARC or as CM Mentor OR participation as CM as part of an AOC white or Replication cell.
  • Experience as an exercise designer /planner /director (HD).
  • NAF-level experience.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • BS degree.
  • AFFOR, MAJCOM Staff experience desired.

Travel Requirements

This is an onsite position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be as much as 30% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
