The Opportunity Join Cross Asset Financing Technology within HSBC Global Banking and Markets, a global technology team building sales and trading systems for Stock Borrow Loan, Equity Swaps, and hedge fund servicing. This role focuses on end-to-end engineering across front end, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure to deliver scalable, reliable platforms that enable the business to grow clients and revenue.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineers in a collaborative agile environment, taking work from inception through to production support. The team prioritizes automation, predictable quality, and continuous delivery. Success means delivering small, safe incremental changes to production while improving the resilience and sustainability of production services.

You will also contribute to technology choices as tools and practices evolve including the use of artificial intelligence. What you'll be doing Build and enhance full-stack services across user interface, backend and databases for Equities and Cross Asset Financing platforms Deliver features through the full delivery lifecycle including inception, development, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance Partner with business stakeholders and architects to translate trading requirements into working software Develop Java services deployed on Linux or cloud environments Establish automated testing including unit and integration tests and maintain clear test plans and records Maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines within a DevOps product or service team and improve engineering workflows Own production quality by supporting incident identification, diagnosis, and resolution Strengthen service resilience and sustainability and ensure recovery time objectives are met What we're looking for Having a strong understanding of Cross Asset Financing including Cash Prime Brokerage. Bring strong Java development experience in building and supporting production-grade services Apply hands-on experience working with software deployed on Linux or cloud platforms.

Use Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Google Kubernetes Engine and Cloud Run in real engineering delivery Work effectively across the full stack including backend services, user interface and databases as needed Demonstrate experience with DevOps practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing in agile delivery Show working knowledge of front-end web technologies such as HTML 5, JavaScript and React Apply practical understanding of security and regulatory considerations such as data privacy, consent, and data residency Use relational databases in production systems Strong communication skills with experience supporting the Cross Asset Financing business.
