Job description

GL Staffing is seeking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Microbiology Technician to join our Quality Control team in a cosmetics manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to begin a career in microbiology.


Location: Miami Gardens, FL

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: Starting at $17.00/hour


Responsibilities


  • Perform basic microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental samples.
  • Prepare culture media, solutions, and laboratory materials.
  • Collect and label samples following laboratory procedures.
  • Record and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and safety procedures.
  • Assist senior microbiology staff with routine laboratory activities and special projects.


Qualifications


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related science.
  • Previous laboratory experience through school or internships is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of microbiology laboratory techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and work independently after training.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
