Job Description
Holm Electric, Inc. is growing electrical contractor based in the Lake Tahoe area looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator/Engineer/Designer to join our team. In this role, you'll take ownership of design drawings, cost estimates, and technical project support for a mix of residential and commercial work. If you're detail-oriented, code-savvy, and enjoy seeing projects go from plan to completion - this could be a great fit.
What You'll Do
  • Create initial and final electrical design drawings for residential and commercial projects using AutoCAD, Visio, and Planswift
  • Perform load calculations and verify compliance with NEC codes and industry standards
  • Prepare engineering takeoffs and accurate project cost estimates and proposals
  • Research component and material specifications and source qualified suppliers
  • Review drawings, takeoffs, and estimates produced by other team members
  • Provide technical guidance to field technicians on active projects
  • Assemble and maintain complete project documentation
  • Stay current with NEC code updates and emerging industry technologies

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities
