FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts

Compensation + Bonus:

• Associate Mental Health Professional (LMHCA, LMFTA, LSWAIC, LASW) $34.80 - $50.10/hour
  • Compensation is based on relevant, verified experience. Experience credit begins once the minimum qualifications for the position have been met (e.g., completion of a master's degree and an active associate license). Candidates who have recently obtained their associate license and do not yet have qualifying post-licensure experience will be hired at the entry-level rate for the position.
• Sign-On Bonus: Potentially up to $5,000 for qualifying external candidates meeting experience requirements.
• Relocation Bonus: Potentially up to $10,000 depending on distance of move; available to eligible external candidates meeting experience requirements.

About the Role

This is a shared position between two teams housed within the same office: The Behavior Support Team (BeST) and Children's Specialty Care, offering a unique opportunity to provide both community-based behavioral support and outpatient mental health services.

The Behavior Support Team (BeST) provides short-term, community-based intervention services throughout King County for families of children with developmental disabilities who are experiencing behavioral challenges. Individualized behavior plans are developed using the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) model, an evidence-informed practice that incorporates principles from behavior therapy, family systems theory, and other counseling modalities.

Children's Specialty Care is an integral part of MultiCare's Behavioral Health Department, providing individual, family, and group therapy services in an outpatient setting. This program serves patients experiencing a broad range of behavioral health disorders, mental health conditions, and co-occurring diagnoses. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply evidence-based and evidence-informed outpatient therapy techniques and clinical service skills to support the diverse needs of children, youth, and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate the strengths, needs, and functioning of youth and families across all life domains.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans and crisis plans in collaboration with youth and their families.
• Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) based on assessment findings.
• Provide individual, family, and other clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions throughout the course of treatment.
• Deliver services in a variety of settings, including the office, home, school, and community, based on client and family needs.
• Apply evidence-based and evidence-informed practices, including Positive Behavior Support principles, to guide assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and discharge planning.
• Coordinate care and collaborate with internal teams, schools, Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) Case Resource Managers, community partners, and other service providers as clinically indicated.
• Tailor clinical and case management services to meet the diverse behavioral health and support needs of youth and families.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with agency, county, contract, state, and regulatory requirements.
• Meet productivity, documentation, and authorization standards established by MultiCare and applicable funding sources.
• Travel to community-based appointments as needed; a reliable, insured vehicle is required.
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision, team meetings, case consultations, and other required meetings.
• Complete all required continuing education, licensure, certification, and organizational training requirements.
• Demonstrate a commitment to cultural humility, equity, inclusion, and person-centered care.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Mental Health Professional is an exciting clinical opportunity responsible for counseling and case management service. In this role, you will maintain a patient caseload, providing intervention within established treatment guidelines, policies and procedures. The position offers you the ability to actively advocate on behalf of your patients.

Responsibilities:

• You will provide person-centered counseling, advocacy and case management for patients
• You will develop treatment plans which clearly identify the patient's voice, treatment strategies, and specific outcome measures
• You will meet agency documentation standards and authorization requirements of contracts
• You will strategically tailor effective clinical/case management services to meeting diverse patient needs
• You will contribute to the success of MultiCare expectations and core values, continuously learning, and performing other duties as needed or assigned

Requirements:

• Masters degree in a related field
• A Mental Health Professional as defined within HB 1724 one of these higher credentials are held: Counselor Agency Affiliated Licensed, Marriage & Family Therap Assoc (LMFTA), Mental Health Counselor Assoc (LMHCA), SW Associate Advanced License (LSWAA), SW Advanced Lic (LASW), SW Assoc Independent Clinical Lic (LSWAIC)
• Previous experience providing mental health counseling services preferred
• Drivers License/Abstract

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $34.80 - $50.10 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
