Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician plays a key role in supporting the development, validation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for both existing products and new product introductions. This hands-on role bridges engineering design and shop-floor execution, ensuring processes are practical, efficient, and compliant.

What You'll Do

  • Support the setup, execution, and optimization of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment
  • Perform CAD model and drawing updates.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause data collection, and escalate complex problems with clear documentation
  • Assist with equipment setup, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs
  • Execute process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), including testing, data collection, and documentation
  • Perform dimensional inspections, functional testing, and verification activities
  • Support failure investigations through teardown and detailed observations
  • Assist with design transfer activities, including line setup, build readiness, and work instruction development
  • Implement approved design and process changes on the manufacturing floor and confirm proper execution
  • Maintain and update manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, job travelers, and test records
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, and internal quality standards
  • Support non-conformance, deviation, and CAPA investigations
  • Maintain accurate and timely production and quality records
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance
  • Support operator training and serve as a technical resource on the production floor
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including development of quick reference guides (QRGs)

What You Bring

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, or technical production roles

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field
  • Experience in a regulated environment (medical device, aerospace, or automotive)

Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tooling
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
  • Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and mechanical assembly techniques
  • Proficiency with hand tools, measurement devices, and basic test equipment
  • Exposure to CAD and/or data analysis tools
