San Luis Valley Behavioral Health Group in Alamosa, CO is seeking a dedicated full-time Medical Billing Specialist to join our mission-driven team! WHAT YOUR DAY ENTAILS AS OUR MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST

As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will ensure timely reimbursement for our services by preparing and submitting medical claims, maintaining knowledge of CPT and HCPCS coding, and monitoring claim status. Key responsibilities include researching denied claims, posting and reconciling payments, verifying insurance benefits, obtaining authorizations, and communicating with clients about billing questions and account updates. You'll collaborate with insurance carriers and internal teams to resolve issues, prepare account statements, maintain accurate records, uphold HIPAA standards, and ensure all client information is current.
