Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

This entry level operator position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of producing polyester resins while working in a safe and clean manner and will work a rotating shift.ย  These functions include but are not limited to getting raw materials required for production, adding raw materials into production vessels, loading finished products into tank trucks and drums, completing data entry of inventory movements, and performing general housekeeping tasks.ย  The majority of work takes place outside, therefore working in hot, cold, and wet weather is often required.ย  All required personal protective equipment such as hard hat, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, uniforms and respirators will be provided by the Company.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient at basic computer skills (ie: email, EXCEL, data input etc.)
  • Ability to be forklift and Ottawa Tractor Driver Certified
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively and push 2,000 lb supersacks using a hoist or dolly.
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment as required by the task including a full-face respirator which will require the employee to be clean-shaven.
  • Ability to work in an outside environment year round
  • Ability to climb flights of stairs multiple times per day
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to use handheld tools
  • Physical ability and flexibility to work 12 hour and rotating shifts
  • Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.
  • Math skills are required including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (a math assessment will be administered during the interview process).
  • Prior manufacturing experience is helpful; however greater emphasis in hiring will be placed on the candidate's ability to demonstrate:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED
